Okay, I'll admit it. I'm a junkie. I LOVE candles. What is your "simple thing" that makes your day better? coffee? a walk? getting into a good discussion?
Want to know Ryan's? Its youtube. And not just youtube. its playing with homemade videos of our family, events etc. his latest project (and i'm very embaressed but oddly amused to admit his latest project!) last friday evening we watched Alvin and the chipmunks dvd. it was so cute. so ryan has changed a couple of our home videos to us sounding like chipmonks. sad i know. this is what amuses us! maybe we'll post one on here.

MY OTHER SIMPLE THING MUST HAVE IS 30 MINUTES OF DOWNTIME A DAY. WHETHER I READ THE WORK, WATCH TV, SIT ON THE COUCH AND DO NOTHING. I HAVE TO HAVE THOSE FEW MINUTES TO MYSELF.

-my iPod. i know that makes it sound like i'm technologically advanced, but truly it's the only gadget i can work by myself. i LOVE iTunes podcasts! they're free, can be found on just about any topic you can think of, and keep me in touch with the rest of the world. i listen to news, cooking shows, talk shows, storytellers, comedy, etc! i love having a steady stream of GOOD ENGLISH comin' through the earbuds!
-coffee in any and all forms :)
-yoga
-oatmeal! i love it for breakfast, with nuts and raisins and brown sugar... warm and nourishing and tasty!

Coffee is a must, candles are bonus.....also love looking at a finally clean house or a just mowed lawn adorned with flowers in bloom.......ahhh now that is a great day!

i think we are alot alike in that way. i really enjoy seeing immedate results such as a clean house and a recently cut lawn. its always nice checkin in on your family too. i can't imagine how busy of a mom you are!
